2021 PÁŠXA ROCKGARDEN ESTATE VINEYARD SYRAH

“Another brilliant wine from this up-and-coming estate, the 2021 Syrah Rockgarden Vineyard is all varietal that saw 25% stems and is still resting in a mix of new and used French oak foudre and larger barrels. Rocking levels of red and blue fruits, spring flowers, pepper, and lavender emerge on the nose, and it’s medium to full-bodied, with a polished, seamless mouthfeel and awesome tannins

“The 2021 Rockgarden Estate Syrah from Pášxa was aged in new and neutral oak French barrels and was fermented with 25% stem inclusion which gives the wine some added tannin and weight on the palate. Boasting notes of crushed boysenberries, dusty country road, bacon fat, wet stones, grilled grapefruit peel, and dried flowers. A lustrous mouthfeel, sweet tannins, and perfect acidity levels complete the wine that I highly recommend. Editor’s choice..

2021 PÁŠXA ROCKGARDEN ESTATE VINEYARD GRENACHE

“The 2021 Grenache Rockgarden Vineyard is cut from the same cloth, with a beautiful perfume of framboise and ripe strawberries as well as tons of floral and spicy nuances. Medium to full-bodied, round, supple, and straight-up undeniably delicious, it’s another killer Grenache that’s going to evolve for 10-15 years.

“Grenache coming from The Rocks District? Yes, please! Showcasing a beautiful medium ruby core with a neon pink rim in the glass, it produces scintillating aromas of ripe crushed red strawberries, forest raspberries, fresh rose petals, and white pepper. Supple across the tongue, it envelops the entire mouth with its expansive finish.

2021 PÁŠXA RIVER ROCK VINEYARD GRENACHE

“From fruit that previously went into K Vintners The Boy, the 2021 Grenache River Rock Vineyard reveals a ruby hue as well as a great perfume of ripe black cherries, kirsch liqueur, iron, and assorted spicy nuances. Medium to full-bodied, supple, up-front, and sexy, with moderate acidity, it’s a beautifully hedonistic Grenache that’s going to shine right out of the gate yet still have 10-15 years of longevity. ”

“Unveiling a light to medium glimmering ruby core with a light pink rim, the 2021 River Rock Granche from Pášxa is another stunning bottle of Grenache from an incredible vintage. Scented with pleasant notes of red cherries, sliced strawberries, wet earth, cinnamon stick, and grilled citrus peel, it’s a sexy wine with medium levels of acidity, supple tannins, and a fantastic finish ”

2021 PÁŠXA ROCKGARDEN VINEYARD MOURVÈDRE

“Classic varietal smoke, red and black fruits, iron, and some bloody hints all emerge from the 2021 Mourvèdre Rockgarden Vineyard, a medium to full-bodied, ripe, balanced Mourvèdre. It brings lots of classic meaty, gamey, spicy nuances while staying pure, balanced, and seamless. “

“I always love the Mourvèdre from Pášxa every single year. The 2021 Rockgarden Estate Mourvedre delivers a shimmering purple-blue core with a neon purple rim. It’s a meaty, smoky effort with gobs of black and blue fruits, grilled game, grated peppercorns, and lovely lemon verbena and grapefruit pith tones that fall perfectly on the mid-palate. Highly recommended.”

2022 PÁŠXA ROCKGARDEN ESTATE VINEYARD WHITE BLEND

“My favorite of the Pášxa lineup, the otherworldly Rockgarden Estate White Wine from the 2022 vintage, grabs your attention and doesn’t let go. It was the wine I kept coming back to for sips over the course of the hour. No tech sheets were provided, but typically this is a blend of Marasanne and Roussanne and displays a lovely medium golden apple core with a neon light yellow rim. Rich and luscious across the expansive palate, it boasts oily notes of freshly cut pear, ripe apples, honeysuckle flowers, toasted almonds, and shades of warmed brioche. The finish is insane and keeps going for minutes on end. It’s the best white wine that Pášxa has made, and I highly recommend it. Editor’s choice.”
